Biography
One-act ballet.
Music - Sergei Prokofiev, Symphony No. 1, D major, "Classical", Op. 25. Libretto, choreography and staging - Mintai Tleubayev. Production designer - Lyudmila Kuzhel. Production conductor - Renat Salavatov.
The premiere took place on November 6, 1987 at the Abay SAOBT.
Characters and performers: Conductor - Bakhytzhan Smagulov; 1 soloist - Gulzhan Tutkibayeva; 2 soloists - Sholpan Musakhanova, Alma Askarbekova; 1 soloist - Erbolat Asylgazinov; 2 soloist - Murat Adyrkhayev.
Orchestra - ballet soloists Adil Bestembayev, Akhmetdgali Burkitbayev, Vyacheslav Goncharov, Zhanat Kartamysov, Raushan Tulegenova, Natalia Likucheva, Mansia Karakulova and others.
Ballet in three parts: the first is the general part with participation of the Conductor, soloists and orchestra; in the second part, two solo couples perform an adagio; the third part is the final coda.
“The ballet master … introduced a storyline or context. The ballet dancers played the Conductor and various groups of instruments of the orchestra - they seemed to be performing a symphony, reproducing the life of the orchestra during the performance. The basis of the ballet was classical dance and pantomime movements…”.
