Biography

03.08.1967, Chimkent.

Make-up artist, costume designer.

1975-1984 – student at secondary school №. 1 in Chimkent.

1984-1988 – student at the Chimkent Art School named after. A. Kasteev with a degree in artistic make-up. Qualified as a make-up artist. Diploma with honors.

1989-1994 – student at KazGITIK named after T.K. Zhurgenov (now KazNAI named after T.K. Zhurgenov) with a degree in artistic costume design. Qualified as a costume designer.

2012-2013 – mastered the program for mastering the skills of working in the EBRU technique at the general education center and evening art school Ankara Mamak (Ankara, Turkey).

1988-1989 – art teacher at secondary school №. 2 in Chimkent.

16.02.1993-07.12.1994 – make-up artist, wig maker of the make-up shop of the Abay Opera House: making special wigs, performing portrait and especially complex makeup.

08.12.1994 – 27.03.2011 – costume designer at the sewing and production workshop of the Abay Opera House.

27.03.2011 – 10.08.2012 – costume painting artist at the sewing and production workshop of the Abay Opera House.

In Abay Opera House is the costume designer for operas directed by L. Imangazina: “La Bohème”, “Tosca”, “Er-Targyn”. Participated in updating the costumes of the opera performances “Abai”, “Kyz-Zhibek”, “Carmen”, etc.

Costume designer for the ballets of the Abay State Opera Theater: “Dragon and Swallow” (choreographed by Z. Raibaev, 1996); “Space of the Soul” (choreographed by G. Tutkibaeva, 2001); “The Wonderful Mandarin” (choreographed by V. Goncharov, 2001); “The Triumph of Athena” (choreographed by D. Fadeeva, 2004); “Suite in antico style” (choreographed by G. Tutkibaeva, 2005); “Adam” (choreographed by V. Goncharov, 2007). Costume designer for the ballet TST “Samruk” “Zheztyrnak” (choreographed by G. Adamov, 2004).

Participated in the creation of costumes for the ballet “The Legend of Love” based on the sketches of Simon Virsaladze (choreographed by Yu. Grigorovich, 2007); in updating the costumes of the performances “Swan Lake”, “Giselle”. Designer of concert dresses for the soloists of the Abai State Opera Theater.

2008 – opened an individual enterprise “Tomiris” for sewing and renting suits in Almaty.

Costume designer for musical projects directed by Elena Breus - projects of the Akimat of Almaty (2008-2011); TV projects by director Arman Karabaev - Retro festival “Alma-Ata - my first love” (2007-2011), “Clash of the Titans” (2009-2011), “Let’s get married (2011)”; TV project directed by Nurzhan Tutov “Tamasha City” (2017-2020).

Since 2011 she has lived in Ankara (Türkiye). She creates works of art using the techniques of batik (drawing on fabric), ebru (an ancient oriental method of painting on water), and paints ceramics.

Awards: laureate of the International Fashion Festival “Season of the East” - for a collection of clothes created in tandem with Daulbaeva Aigul was awarded a memorable gift and a diploma “For creating an unusual synthesis of the art of painting and the art of fashion” (Almaty, Kazakhstan, 1995); Certificate of honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For great contribution to the development of culture and art of the Republic” (Astana, Kazakhstan, March, 2004), laureate of the II International Festival of Stage Costume in the nomination “Best Stage Costume Designer of Theater and Cinema” (1st place, Astana, Kazakhstan, 2008); was awarded a diploma of gratitude for participation as a costume designer at the Retro festival “Alma-Ata – my first love” (Almaty, Kazakhstan, 2008).
