Biography
04.04.1954, Dzhambul region, Moyynkum district, Taldy-Ozek village.
Member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan (1988), member of the Union of Theater Workers of Kazakhstan (1989). Associate Professor (2003). Honored Worker Kazakhstan (2007).
1960-1970 – student at the Dzhambul secondary school in the village of Furmanovka, Moyynkum district, Dzhambul region.
1970-1971 – construction worker of the mobile mechanized column-2006 in the village of Furmanovka, Moyynkum district, Dzhambul region.
1971-1972, 1974-1975 – artist of the Moyynkum district consumer services plant in the village of Furmanovka.
1972-1974 – service in the ranks of the Soviet Army (German Democratic Republic).
1975-1979 – student at the Alma-Ata Art School named after N.V. Gogol.
1979-1984 – student of the art department of the Alma-Ata State Theater and Art Institute (now KazNAI named after T.K. Zhurgenov) with a degree in theater technique and performance design. Qualified as a stage designer.
05.10.1983 – 07.02.1985 – as a student, he was hired as a prop maker and decorator at the set shop of the Abay Opera House for the period of staging the opera “Kyz-Zhibek”.
08.02.1985-16.01.1986 – senior engineer-technologist of the decoration workshop of the Abay Opera House.
17.01.1986 – 05.02.1989 – production designer at the Abay Opera House.
06.02.1989-19.11.1990 – acting chief artist of the Abay Opera House.
20.11.1990 – 04.04.2017 – chief artist of the Abay Opera House.
Stage designer of 45 dramatic, opera and ballet performances. Among them: “Zharaly Zholbarys” by K. Myrzaliev (director Sh. Karibaev, 1993) at the Atyrau Regional Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after. Makhambet; “Zamanakyr” by O. Suleimenov and M. Bakkozha (director R. Seitmetov, 1995), “Karaly Sulu” by M. Auezov, R. Mukanova (director B. Atabaev, 1996), “Zhambyldyn dangyl, targyl zholdary” by S. Zhunusov ( director N. Zhakypbay, 1996) at the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after. G. Musrepova.
Author of the set design for the Abay Opera House: “Kamar Sulu”, “Rigoletto”, “Kurmangazy”, “Makhambet”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Magic Music”, “Snow White”, “Er-Targyn”, “Kyz-Zhibek”.
Author of the set design for the ballets of the Abay Opera House: “Bolero” (1994), “Egyptian Nights” (1994), “Dragon and Swallow” (1996) choreographed by Z. Raibaeva; “Space of the Soul” (2001), “Theater of Masks” (2001), “Suite in Antico Style” choreographed by G. Tutkibaeva, 2005); “The Wonderful Mandarin” (2001) choreographed by V. Goncharova; “The Triumph of Athena” (2004) choreographed by D. Fadeeva.
At the State Republican Uyghur Theater of Musical Comedy named after K. Kuzhamyarov, he is the production designer of performances directed by A. Iskendirov: “Bayanshur” by A. Samsakov, (2013), “Murager” by D. Isabekov (2017).
Stage designer of more than 50 theatrical concert performances and programs, among them: celebration of the 150th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev (Abay Opera House, 1995); opening of the Monument of Independence of Kazakhstan (Almaty, 1996); celebration of the 1500th anniversary of the city of Turkestan (Turkestan, 2000, director M. Tleubaev), etc.
Since 1986 – teacher, since 2001 – head, since 2003 – associate professor, since 2020 – professor of the “Scenography” department of Kazan State Technical Institute (now KazNAI named after T.K. Zhurgenov).
Scientific works, publications: “Technology for processing fabrics for the stage” in collaboration with Karzhaubaeva S.K. (2002), photo album “Kazakhtyn memlekettik Abay atyndagy akademiyalyk opera and ballet theaters” (2002) in collaboration with a team of authors, “Keskindemenin technicasy men tekhnologiyasy” (2005), etc.
Since 1985 – participant of republican international and all-Union exhibitions.
Awards: laureate of the International Theater Festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of M.O. Auezov (1997); badge “Madeniet kairatkeri” - “Honorary Worker of Culture” (2003); Diploma de Merito of the European Chamber of Science and Industry for his great contribution to the theatrical and visual arts (18.03.2013).
